The Hills of Lakeway

Home to four golf courses with 36 championship holes by Nicklaus Design. Home to The Hills Course, the region's first Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, and within recent years, the addition of Flintrock Falls. This is a dynamic 18-hole course co-designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II.

The Hills of Lakeway offers a variety of membership opportunities that allow you to experience the serenity of life in Lakeway. In addition to spectacular Nicklaus designed golf; the Club presents the World of Tennis Sports Complex, wonderful dining facilities at The Hills Clubhouse and the new Flintrock Falls Clubhouse.

1. The Hills Country Club (0.72 Miles) (by: Nicklaus Design) The Hills Country Club offers two championship courses by Nicklaus Design. No other private country club in Central Texas offers members this caliber of courses; The Hills is a signature Jack Nicklaus course and Flintrock Falls - a Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II co-design.

Flintrock Falls (0.71 Miles) compliments the existing Hills Course with a dynamic new layout designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus II. You will be continually challenged with these courses. Play every day, because with the flexibility of two courses, one will always be open if the other is closed for overseeding, or for the traditional one day a week maintenance. Currently the Hills course is scheduled to close on Monday and Flintrock Falls on Wednesday.

2. Lakeway Golf Club (2.0 Miles) Lakeway Golf Club features 36 holes of golf played over two very unique layouts. Both courses, Live Oak and Yaupon, offer Members, Guest and Resort players various challenges with rolling hills, blind tee shots and tree lined fairways

a. Yaupon Course - Live Oak features a par 3, hole # 3, which is commonly referred to as JAWS. The hole plays 204 yards from the gold tees over a deep ravine that gobbles up a shot that falls short of the green.

b. Live Oak Course - Yaupon features hole # 18, a 503-yard par 5, playing down hill to a pond with a 50 feet drop in elevation. After successfully crossing the pond the player is challenged with an approach shot, which rises 40 feet to a tricky green.

Falcon Head Golf Club (2.4 Miles)

Falconhead Golf Club opened in 2003, an incredible addition to Austin golf. Laid out by the experts from the PGA Tour Design Center, our public daily-fee course offers golfers a taste of the quality golf that pro players contend on in one of the most beautiful areas of Texas, the rolling terrain of the Central Texas Hill Country in and around Austin.

The vision of our architects was to fit Falconhead lovingly into the gentle ups and downs of its site west of Austin. They kept all the flavor of this unique land shaded by gnarled trees and crisscrossed by meandering streams and creeks. The Tour's seal of approval means that we offer you the kind of excitement you would expect to find at a tournament-level course, combined with a chance to succeed no matter what your skill level. We have five sets of tee box to provide you with exactly the kind of round you want to play.

Spanish Oaks Golf Club (4.25 Miles)

Former PGA Tour architect Bobby Weed is highly regarded for his groundbreaking designs, and Spanish Oaks is no exception, having been hailed as one of the best private courses in the country shortly after it opened and for its sensitivity toward the landscape. Best known for his "character-driven" courses, Weed describes the unique personality at Spanish Oaks: "It's a property set in the Hill Country. It's an environmentally sensitive area, and people are very conscious and cognizant of protecting the land."

University of Texas Golf Club (7 miles)

The University of Texas Golf Club is a 7,412, par 71 championship-caliber golf course which opened in November 2003. Built in the Texas Hill Country, the course overlooks Lake Austin and borders the Balcones Natural Wildlife Preserve, offering challenging shots and views that rival the best in Austin.

River Place Country Club (9 Miles)

Austin's premier family oriented Private Club. With unforgettable Golf, Tennis, Fitness, Swimming, Dining and Social Activities, River Place Country Club is a hill country haven for members to enjoy and celebrate life with family and friends. Tom Kite, winner of the 1992 U. S. Open championship and the 2000 Senior PGA Tradition Championship at Desert Mountain, created this 18-hole championship layout. Taking advantage of the site's spectacular rolling hills and secluded canyons, Tom produced a cerebral and physically challenging golf experience with breathtaking hill country views.
