Jared Young - Developer

Jared Young has been described as an “accidental developer”. After 5 years in mortgage banking Jared saw a void that needed filling. He had been working with builders and homebuyers by financing their construction projects. In late 2006, as he started to look for his own lot on which to build his family’s dream home, He wanted a large lot, with a view, on a green belt, on a cul-de-sac, in a neighborhood with great schools. He quickly realized that there were not very many lots available that fit the criteria that he was looking for. In talking with his builder clients and homeowner clients this seemed to be a more wide-spread problem. All of the best lots seemed to be already owned by large “tract home” builders who were then able to charge a premium for the lot and end up priced the same as a custom home even though the home that they would build on that lot would very often be far inferior in design and quality to the home that could be built by a custom builder. The approximately 46 acres of land that is now Madrone Canyon Estates was identified and plans put into motion to create a neighborhood full of “the perfect lot” where custom builders and their clients could enjoy the flexibility to create a house that deserved to be on that lot.

Marin Acosta - CMA Custom Homes

He is the president and owner of Acosta Framing as well as the president and owner of CMA Custom Homes.
